I guess I was kind of in a Halloween mood and I have been listening to this song a lot lately so I just up and translated it. [youtube link]

Inugami Circus Dan - The Legend of Kuchisake Onna

"Do you think I'm pretty? Heeheehee..."

In the twilight of a windless evening I tuck away a knife inside my coat
I hide myself in the blind spots of the town, waiting for you to pass by.

In order to make myself prettier I tried many medicines
In order to make myself prettier I visited a black market doctor
I'll make you want me again and regret you ever left me

In order to confess my love to you
In order to passionately kiss you
This split, split, split mouth
CRAZY KISS FOR YOU

This red mask hides the scars from my life-changing operation
Yes, I am beauty incarnate! This time hold me tightly to yourself.

In order to become more confident I listened to what many people had to say
In order to become more confident I visited a strange religious ceremony
I'll make you want me again and regret you ever left me

In order to confess my love to you
In order to passionately kiss you
You should run faster, faster, faster
CRAZY KISS FOR YOU

"Do you think I'm pretty? ....how about now?"

In order to make myself prettier I tried many medicines
In order to make myself prettier I visited a black market doctor
I'll make you want me again and regret you ever left me

In order to confess my love to you
In order to passionately kiss you
This split, split, split mouth
CRAZY KISS FOR YOU

"I'll do this to you, too!"

Chibi to Futocho (Shortie and Pudgie) [Link to audio on YouTube]
-----------------

You and me, me and you, shortie and pudgie's love story.

I'm a little bit pudgie and a bit worried about my the future. I tired quickly of the mail order exercise equipment I bought and now can't even find it. As for my diet, I eat yogurt and take well-balanced supplements. So why, why oh why does cellulite appear on my upper arms?

You and me, me and you, shortie and pudgie's love story.

I'm a little on the short side. For example, I have to stand on my tiptoes to kiss. When I was a kid I always yearned to but never could mae-narae[1]. As for my diet I eat yogurt, niboshi[2], milk and hijiki[3] and tofu. I have no likes or dislikes I just love my healthy calcium!

You and me, me and you, shortie and pudgie's love story.

We fell in love on a very sunny day in April. If we ever have a child they will be short AND pudgie!

You and me, me and you, shortie and pudgie's love story.

What I love about you is not your large, swaying breasts, but your delicate heart which is fragile and more sensitive than anyone else's. What I love about you is not how adorable you are but how when I feel weak you envelop me in such a great, big love.

You and me, me and you, shortie and pudgie's love story. (x2)

Shortie and pudgie's love story. (x4)

Translation Notes
------------------------
[1]Mae-narae - For gym class and other events Japanese school children line up by class and then according to height, shortest in the front, tallest in the back. The put their arms out to to judge how far away they should be from the person in front of them. He is lamenting that is was always in the very front and never got to stick is arms out lol.
[2]Niboshi - Little dried sardines. Full of calcium.
[3]Hijiki - A type of seaweed, also full of calcium.

I love this song because it reminds me of my boyfriend and I. Not that we are either particularly fat or short but they are the things about ourselves that we are a bit sensitive about. Also, we started dating on a sunny day in April.

I toyed with making it a singable translation but a lot of the meanings would have to change and it would also take more than 10 minutes. Maybe another day.

Yay weekend!

Love☆Con - ウサギ
Had a really fun weekend! Went out two nights in a row! A rarity lately. Friday night I went out with Rebecca and eventually we ended up with a group of people at karaoke. Got home after 6am.

Saturday I went to a concert with Emm, Laura and my friend Shingo. It was a taiban with The Neutral, The Mass Missile, Freeway High High and The Soul.

We had seen The Neutral at the Kansai Lovers show and really enjoyed them. They were really upbeat and fun and at Kansai Lovers the singer had awesome red pants. We went to say hello after their set and ended up with tickets to the show on Saturday and his business(?) card. Evidently he is trying to make 10,000 friends so if you meet him and shake his hand you get a card with your number, hehe. I am #7928. So, go see The Neutral and get your friend card! XD

The other bands we didn't know going in but we were not disappointed. First up was The Soul. Four guys with acoustic guitars (though one of them used electric for a few songs). Wasn't really my thing but their upbeat songs were fun. The ballads they did seemed to drag on forever. I wouldn't go see a one man live by them but I almost hope to see them again just to enjoy the strange pained/kandou faces the leader was making when he sang.

Second group out was Freeway High High. They. Are. Adorable. Like. Woah. They songs were cute, they were cute, their Nagasaki-ben was cute. CUTE CUTE CUTE. I thought they were just out of high school but evidently they are like, 28. Definitely want to go see them again! I shook their hands this time, next time I hope to pinch their cheeks. Also, I must find out where they located the fountain of youth.

Next was The Mass Missile. 180 from Freeway High High. When they came out the vocalist jumped out on the bar keeping the audience from coming right up to the stage and balanced by holding people's heads. he came right up to where we were and grabbed Laura's head. She said he was holding on really tight. The singer reminded me of some sort of Tortise Matsumoto/Imawano Kiyoshiro/wild man of the desert mix. I absolutely love him! The other members were much more low key but just as cool. The bass player reminded all of us of Kevin Smith, the piano player just seemed chill and the drummer was really nice to us when he handed out surveys at the end of the show. When we talked to the singer at the end of the night he was... really normal! I had thought he was drunk out of his mind on stage but no one sobers up that quickly. Just awesome stage presence I guess.

They also had a ouen song for Hazama Kanpei and his world marathon. I hope he hears it someday. And I hope they release it because I really liked it!

Last was The Neutral since it was pretty much their tour to promote their new album. They mostly played stuff from the new album (not that we really knew since we didn't have any of their album going into the evening). Tons of really fun music! I really want to get more of their music but I only had enough money to get one of their older mini-albums. Next time~~~!

And then we got food, drinks and I managed to end up at karaoke the second night in a row. Got home after 6am.

Japan - Doggy Poo
Being back in America for a bit was nice, if uneventful. My trip to Tokyo was really fun, but too short. If I ever have money again I'd like to visit again soon! Jealkb and Kansai Juniors were great but I'll talk about that later maybe. In reality you'll get better info from Laura or Emm.

Oh hey, no one told me they'd be doing a report on my life while I was gone!
This is the real reason for this post. This is pretty much exactly how it is.

Haruka Naru Toki no Naka de 4 Review

Thumbelina - Dreaming...
Yesterday I finished playing Haruka Naru Toki no Naka de 4! Well, there is more stuff I could do to 'complete' my game but I got all the renai endings so that will be finished for now. I've got the urge to move on and play another romance game!

Click for Review )

Sadly this game is Japanese only and I doubt it is likely to be translated because 1) it's a romance game and 2) the text is written vertically. But if you have Japanese skills or someone who speaks Japanese you can strong arm into helping you... go for it!

Feel free to ask me anything!

I'll miss you, three day weekend.

Girls - Rose Kazari
Yesterday was Coming of Age Day so I didn't have to work. Considering the break hasn't made me look any more fondly on my job (maybe the reverse) it was almost a cruel tease to go back to school for one day and then get a break. Can I be a housewife yet? I'll even learn to clean rather than the half-assed job I do now.

My weekend was really good though! I attended a lolita meetup on Saturday (pics pending) and had a great time. I made some new friends and reconnected with others. Celeste, who I attended JCMU with and hadn't heard from since, was there! Small world! It took us awhile to figure it out actually since we had both changed a lot.

Gouta ended up not coming over that night and so I putzed around online and did... nothing of mention. He showed up the next day but it ended up being to cold to do much and I ended up showing signs of ANOTHER cold! So we stayed in and I really should just live in a bubble. Can I put lace and frills on it?

And OMG it finally happened! I got off at the wrong station and got on the wrong bus to go to the wrong school! Luckily I felt compelled to open my planner and ran off the bus just before it left. I had convinced myself I was at the school that doesn't give me lunch so I bought cup-o-soop and onigiri and stuff. I guess I have dinner now. I think I'll still make it to school juuust on time but so much for being collected and organized.
Well, I'll be there soon. Wish me an uneventful remainder of my day!

Hey!
